Melissa Christine, Associate Coach

Melissa is a St. Louis native who has a deep love of all things art. Prior to entering the world of musical theatre, Melissa was a competitive figure skater who competed internationally as a member of Team USA. She was also part of many on-ice musical productions as a performer, a director, and a choreographer! Credits include Seussical, The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, Aladdin, The Wizard of Oz, Annie, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and more!

Upon retirement from figure skating, Melissa stumbled upon the Find Your Honesty Page and everything clicked. Since beginning her work with Alex and the Find Your Honesty method, Melissa has been challenged with the opportunity to explore a wide range of roles. In her first musical, Seussical, Melissa explored the quirky role of Gertrude McFuzz. Immediately after, she flipped the switch to do some major belting as the dry and cynical Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family Musical. From there, the passion kept spiraling as she explored different characters and vocal styles. Melissa originated the leading role in the World Premiere of The Zombies of Penzance as the ingenue and zombie-huntress, Mabel, and took the stage as Brooke Lohst in the Regional Premiere of Be More Chill. Other credits include Jekyll & Hyde, In the Heights, Les Miserables (Cosette), The Light in the Piazza, Parade (Essie), Young Frankenstein (Inga), Head Over Heels (Philoclea), and Urinetown (Hope Cladwell).

Through her work with Find Your Honesty, Melissa has fast-tracked her dreams and has learned successful techniques to making performances genuine and rooted in truth. She is delighted to join the Find Your Honesty coaching staff, to share these techniques with other artists, and to share the joy of honest storytelling.
